300 g good quality dark chocolate (or dark chocolate buttons)
Finely chop a block of dark chocolate and place it in a food processor. Mix until you achieve a smooth pliable paste. If creating a large volume of twigs, bring the chocolate to a crumb texture, remove it from the food processor and place small amounts at a time back into the food processor to bring to a paste.
Take small handfuls of the paste and roll it into different lengths to create stems and spikes. Twist the twigs before they fully set to give them some movement. Leave at room temperature to set.
